Clang Static Analyzer saved my Sanity

I’m currently working on Simply Lists 2.0. I’ve been changing large amounts of code and in the process I managed to break things bad.  I had introduced a double release bug that was manifesting in SDK code.  It was very difficult for me to find where I messed things up.  After downloading Clang and running it against the Simply Lists project I was able to quickly find the problem along with many many other problems that weren’t causing me any problems yet.

Big thanks to everyone working on Clang. You can try it for yourself at this link.

Sales Slow, but there is hope.

Sales of Simply Lists has been fairly slow so far. One or two sales per day since release.  Thanks go out to everyone that has bought the app so far.  One reason for this might be that I have done very little to promote the app so far. There are a couple of bugs including a crash that I have fixed in 1.1.  I want to limit the negative reviews due to this bug. I even considered removing it from the store until the fix is available.

Once the 1.1 version is available I believe things will pick up. I intend to submit the app to some review sites and I may put the app on sale for a week or two to see how that impacts things.

My second app Gene Lab is still in review but should be available for purchase soon for $0.99. I’m looking forward to hearing what people think of it, I can take it in several different directions. Better graphics, creature looks, animation, I’ve considered  doing a battle mode of some kind as well.

I have begun work on a couple other apps as well. One is a straight forward RSS reader app. The other may become a game, but it will take more time.
